“I can be strong and that can be my sweetness.”
A letter to myself and all the women who have come into my life:
When they tell you you're bitchy, hostile, aggressive, abrasive, loud… don't let them get to you.
A strong, smart, outspoken woman can be hard to accept sometimes. Don't let them put you down, or make you believe that you need to be that soft spoken, gentle girl who is simply sweet and just listens.
Don't let them dull your light. It's not worth losing yourself. It will be harder to get yourself back.
Don't fall for it. Don't let them drown you in their expectations and suffocate you with the way you aught to be.
Speak your truth.
Your femininity is in your strength, not the tone of your voice.
You may lose people along the way. They will drop out of your life. But those who really see you as you are will enter and help you rise up.
I can be strong and that can be my sweetness. I am strong, loud, proud, smart and opinionated.
I am a woman.
I give love and receive love.
I believe my power is feminine. I believe in myself just as I am.
